Courtney and Bobby met at Sideward Brewing in Orlando, FL, in the summer of 2019 when they were both starting intern year of their OBGYN and Emergency Medicine residencies. Bobby was meeting his Emergency Medicine classmates at the brewery and Courtney was meeting her residency classmate there as well, as they both had friends from medical school in Bobby's intern class. Bobby was wearing an LSU shirt and Courtney was wearing a Clemson shirt, so they engaged over a playfully heated discussion regarding which team boasts the "real" Death Valley. Go Tigers?

They didn't reconnect until a few weeks later, as they were both running around the hospital in a frenzy trying to decide whether or not it was safe to order Tylenol. When they did ultimately reunite they had their first date in the Orlando Millenia Mall food court. Who doesn't love Chipotle?

Flash forward to nearly four years later when Bobby was living the thrill of his first year of attending life and Courtney was trying to survive her final year of residency. They went on a hot air balloon ride in Asheville that Courtney gifted Bobby for his 30th birthday. The ride got cancelled early in the week for high winds which left Bobby swirling over a backup plan unbeknownst to Courtney, but they were able to reschedule the adventure for later in the week. In the TINIEST air balloon basket to ever hold three humans (Bob, Court, and Phyllis, the hot air balloon pilot) Bobby popped the question and here we are!
